Kenneth Larry Crabtree, 77, of Newnan, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 28, 2025. He was the son of the late Kenneth Ward Crabtree and the late Fae Preston Crabtree. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Karen McCoslin. Born on November 12, 1947, in Waxahachie, Texas, Larry spent his high school years in Lake Jackson, where he worked at the Surf Drive-In movie theater, managed by his parents. A proud veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Ranger during the Vietnam War. In 1973, Larry began his long and successful career with Kason Industries when he joined Kason Southwest in Dallas, Texas. He went on to establish Kason's Mid America Division in Kansas City, Missouri, and in 1996, he relocated to Newnan, Georgia to serve as National Sales Manager for Kason Vinyl Products. His contributions to the industry included helping develop and patent an innovative strip curtain system. Larry had a lifelong love of gardening, a passion learned in childhood from his Uncle Roland. In his later years, he became an accomplished gardener, generously sharing his harvest by donating excess produce to One Roof, a local organization supporting those in need. Survivors include his loving wife, Sarah Taylor Crabtree of Newnan; his children, Michael Crabtree of Cuero, TX, Christopher Crabtree of Dallas, TX, and Ashley Besser of Shakopee, MN; and his grandson, Zeke Crabtree. Graveside services are planned for a later date in Texas. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting www.mckoon.com. McKoon Funeral Home & Crematory, 770-253-4580
