Edna Cross Obituary
Born in Dalton, GA, on July 23, 1946, Edna was the beloved daughter of the late Charlie Townsend and Dee Harman Townsend. She lived a full and joyful life, marked by her love of family, friends, and the simple pleasures that brought her happiness. An avid golfer, she found joy on the greens, and her passion for gardening and flowers brightened every space she touched. Above all, Edna cherished her grandchildren and shared a special bond with her faithful dog, Bandit.
She is survived by her devoted husband of forty years, Jerry Cross; three daughters, Cathy Hughes (Ronnie), Shelly Harden (Nicholas), and Rebena Long (Kenneth Newberry); nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Geneva Lunsford; and brother-in-law, Paul Cross (Teri). Numerous nieces and nephews also carry forward her memory.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Dalton Funeral Home.
