Edna Jacqueline Dworske ObituaryEdna Jacqueline Dworske: Born 7/14/1949 passed 9/7/2025 after a courageous 10 year
battle with cancer.
Edna, AKA Jackie, was born a military brat in Austria where her father was serving in the military. She came to the United States as a child, speaking German and demanding to be served coffee at five years old.
She spent her life in office jobs, from the Denver and Colorado Bar Associations to Farm Credit in Northern California to Carnival Cruise Lines in Colorado Springs.
She loved everything tech, taught herself how to write code, and put one companies first web page out on-line. She wrote financial programs that companies used for years after she left. She did HR, payroll, PC repair and customer support.
She loved to cook and bake. She always found the positive side in the challenges she encountered and demonstrated this as she fought cancer to the end. She was a very successful small dollar gambler and just seemed to have a relationship with a wide variety of machines.
She had a creative streak within her and was always crocheting gifts for friends and charities. She loved travelling and made trips to Jamaica, Mexico, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Panama and Alaska. Panama was her dream destination after spending her high school years there with her military family. And she was a dedicated Colorado Avalanche fan.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Jackson, her younger brother, Robert
(Bobby), her younger brother, Charles (Chuck), her older sister, Angeline (Angy), and her mother Sofia.
She is survived by her sons, Sean and Bryan, and her husband William.
She was strong and confident and the best friend you could ever have who would support and defend you to the end. She called herself shy but striking up conversations with complete strangers in elevators was normal behavior for her. She could be equally stubborn and sweet at a moment notice and was always ready with a smile.
