Edna Barbara Fleck (Edna B. Obison)

October 7,1925 - July 1, 2025.

Surrounded by family and best friend, Edna B Fleck, a strong, loving supportive woman, passed away peacefully on July 1st, 2025, in Oak Harbor, Washington at the age of 99.

Born on October 7th, 1925 in Sidney, British Columbia, to Annie and Samuel Obison. She left home at 16 to work as a waitress at the Empress Hotel in Victoria, B, C.

She married Bert Fleck at 18. And gave birth to 2 sons, Larry and Wayne Fleck. Unfortunately, Wayne passed away due do a tragic accident at the age of 7. Edna worked at Hewlett Packard for over 25 years, but her most treasure role was that of a devoted mother and grandmother.

Edna lived a life of quiet strength, compassion and deep dedication to her family. To her family Edna was the heart of every celebration. She lovingly spoiled not only her son but her grandchildren, Joseph and Carrie every Christmas and birthdays. She enjoyed baking the most unforgettable desserts--sweet expressions of her deep love and care. Her kindness, warmth and unwavering support shaped the lives of those who knew her.

Edna is survived by her son. Larry fleck, her granddaughter, Carrie Wright, grandson Joseph Fleck and step grandchildren Brock and Kara Reinstein, whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

Edna's life was a testament to grace, resilience and love. Her memory will live on in the traditions she started, the wisdom she shared and the warmth she gave freely.

"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household. Her children arise and call her blessed."

Proverbs 31:25-28.
