Edna Earl Greeson Hogsed, age 87 of Murray County, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Advent Health Gordon Hospital.
Edna was born in Resaca, on May 12, 1937, to the late Martin Greeson and Tinie Hick Greeson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Bagley; husband, Jimmie H. Hogsed; her twin, Charles Greeson; sister, Linda Sue Greeson Cagle; son, Charles Ray Bagley; and grandchild, Jeffery Lamar Correll. Edna was a lifelong member of Higher Praise Church of God and was known to be a good Christian woman full of kindness and compassion. One of her greatest joys in life was baking. She enjoyed gathering her family together and providing Sunday dinners for the ones she loved. Her spirit and nurturing heart touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who were blessed to be a part of her life.
Enda is survived by daughter, Vickie Correll; sister, Wanda Jean Stewart; stepdaughter, Noralee Parson; grandchildren, Jason Correl and Jennifer Dunn; great grandchildren, Jimmie Correll, Justin Correll, Jessie James, Phoebe Correll, and Sawyer Dunn; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from Higher Praise Church of God (formerly known as Sardis Church of God) at 3:00 PM with Rev. Derick Ingle and Rev. Damion Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery with Rev. Terry Timms officiating. Pallbearers will include Danny Greeson, Marty Cagle, Mack Dunn, Jimmy Correll, and Justin Correll.
Family will be receiving friends and family Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 at Higher Praise Church of God.
