Edna Louise "Polly" Stanaland Hopper, 86, of Boston, GA, passed away on Friday - February 20th, 2026 in Moultrie, GA, surrounded by her family.

Polly was born on December 19, 1939, in Boston, GA, to the late Lee Thomas and Pearlie Mae Stanaland. She married Alton Vernon Hopper in March of 1964, who preceded her in death in January of 1997. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Hopper, and brothers, Ernest Stanaland and Will Stanaland.

Survivors include brothers; John Stanaland and Sonny (Sarah) Stanaland; her daughter Teresa (Glen) Pickle of Americus, GA, and son, Buddy (Carol) Hopper of Ochlocknee, GA. She is also survived by a special friend Martha Mixon, and former son-in-law, Jeff Newell.

Above else Nana's greatest joy in life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spoke of them often and loved them more than anything in this world. Their accomplishments, their laughter, and their every day moments filled her heart with pride. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Jeffery Newell, Courtney Newell, Cindy (Tanner) Warren, Laura (Connor) Mathis, Ashleigh (Russ) Bynum, Ethan (Kaitlyn) Hopper, and Brandon Hopper; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Ryder, Lyndsey, Lyza, Pierce, Maddie, Riley, Tidus, Norah, Sawyer, Micah, Lilly, Ava, and great-great-grandson, Lawton.
