Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 25, 2025.
Edna Lou (Crouse) Koerner, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025 at the age of 96.

Lou was the devoted wife of Joseph J. T. Koerner for 48 years and the cherished mother of Janice Morgan, Jim Koerner and his wife Kim, and Mary Ellen Koerner Shriver and her husband Jack, and Bill Koerner. Lou was grandmother to eleven grandchildren and great grandmother to eleven great grandchildren.

Edna Lou attended Fullerton Elementary, graduated from Kenwood High School in Baltimore Maryland. She attended Strayer College for two semesters while she worked in the office for the B&O Railroad before marrying. Later, Lou became a Cadet girl Scout leader for nine years. Then transitioned to volunteering as a Catholic Daughter at our Lady of Fatima Parish. During this time, she also held a position with the Locomotive Maintenance Officers Association in support of her husband, Joe.

Lou treasured her time with family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and decorating her home for all the holidays and hosted many wonderful parties. Lou traveled to Hawaii and Europe with her husband and collected many dolls to fill her curio cabinet.

Lou is survived by her brothers, Everett Crouse Jr, and Norman Crouse, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Edna Lou Crouse Koerner will be deeply missed.

Internment at Gardens of Faith, Baltimore MD.
