Edna Moro

ASHLAND: Edna G. Levesque Moro, 100, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday February 4, 2026 at Presque Isle. She was born June 20, 1925 in Ashland, the daughter of the late Alcide and Stella (Theriault) Levesque. Edna was employed at Chasse's Department Store in Ashland, where everyone knew and loved her.

Edna was a life long member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #9699 Ashland, and a parishioner of St. Mark's Catholic Church. In June of 2022, she was celebrated by her beloved hometown as "Ashland Oldest Citizen" and was awarded the Boston Cane. She adored her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and loved to surround herself with them as often as she could. One of the greatest joys in life was the time she spent raising two of her granddaughters Brooke and Jasmine and the close bond that they shared. Edna was an excellent cook and loved making cakes, pies, and whatever else she could cook up.

She is survived by her four children; Diane Tribou and her partner Fred of Hebron, Roy and his wife Sheila of Nashville Plantation, Brenda Clark of Garfield Plantation, Sandy LaBelle and her fiancé Tom Raymond of Ashland, a brother Robert Levesque of Newington, CT., Grandchildren; Ann Marie, William Labbe Jr, his wife Rhonda, Shelly her husband Dave, Bobby his wife Marnny, Devin, Roy Jr. his wife Lisa, Frank his wife Carrie, Jessica her partner Brad, Jasmine her husband Billy, Brooke her husband C.J., and Jacky her husband Jeremy, 21 great grandchildren, 26 great great grandchildren, two great great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Besides her parents Edna was predeceased by her husband Clarence, a daughter Janice, and husband William Labbe Sr., a grandson Joey Clark and ten siblings; Harold, Fred, Rose, Regina, Alice, Jeanette, Irene, Laura, Evelyn, Nancy and a sister-in-law Jeanette and brother-in-law Ralph. Edna also had many special people in her life that she loved and cherished as family, but too many to list.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday Feb. 10, 2026 at St. Mark's Catholic Church Allen Farm Rd. Ashland. Relatives and friends may greet the family 10 AM until time of service at the church. Spring interment will be at St. Mark's Catholic Cemetery in Sheridan.
