Edna (Lind) Pearson, a cherished soul whose life was a testament to her passion, creativity, and wisdom, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, at her home in Byfield, Massachusetts. Born on June 3, 1952, in the quaint town of
Rowley, Massachusetts, Edna's journey was one marked by dedication, love, and an unwavering commitment to her community.
A lifetime member of The Women of the Moose, Edna's involvement with the organization reflected her deep Christian faith and her desire to serve others. Her spirit of generosity and guidance was a beacon of light for family, friends, and community members alike. Edna's legacy is particularly evident in the Pearson Family Hardware store, a family business she started over 45 years ago, which became a cornerstone of the community under her careful stewardship.
Edna's interests were as diverse as they were heartfelt. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from the hoot of an owl to the thrill of a slot machine at her favorite casino. Her constant love for her family was her most defining trait, with her grandchildren being the brightest stars in her universe. Edna had an innate ability to fix anything that was broken, a skill she passed on through countless hours spent baking and tinkering with her loved ones.
Those who knew Edna will remember her for her wise counsel and her hands that were always ready to help. She was the embodiment of the well-known quote by Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Edna made everyone around her feel valued, loved, and capable of greatness.
Edna's life was a beautiful patchwork of moments that created a vibrant tapestry of love and service. Her passion for life was contagious, her creativity knew no bounds, and her wisdom was sought after by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. As we bid farewell to Edna Pearson, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a legacy that will continue to inspire for generations to come. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched, guiding them with the same love and dedication she so freely gave during her time with us.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents: Lenora and Jesse Lind; Brother, Donald "Welchy", Ricky, and Dale Lind; and an Angel infant sister, Rachel May Lind.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald; sons, Sean, William (Melinda); daughters, Shannon, Cheryl (Jay); ten Grandchildren, eight Great-Grandchildren – one soon expected; brother, Carl; sister, Donna (George). Many Nieces, Nephews, and extended family.
Relatives & Friends are invited to Calling Hours on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 10AM – 2PM. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel of F. S. Roberts & Son at 2PM. Interment will follow in South Byfield Cemetery of Georgetown.
