Edna "Louise" Richardson, age 72, passed away on December 30, 2025. She was born on December 6, 1953, in Washington, D.C., to the late Homer T. and Edna Lucille Sansbury.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Larry Wilson and Georgia Brynes; and her brother-in-law, Raymond L. Richardson.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, Henry "Rooster" Richardson; and their children: Ronald W. Byland, Scott Richardson (Jamie), and Darryl Richardson (Allyson). She was the loving grandmother of seven grandchildren: Nicholas, Ethan, Sara Keller, Jude, Liam, Sawyer, and Amelia. Louise is also survived by her brother, Russell Sansbury (Tina); her sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Areaux and Mary "Kevie" Richardson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Louise worked in hotel management for more than 20 years, where she was known for her strong work ethic and kindness toward others. In her free time, she loved traveling and was an active participant in the Re-Marriage program with the Archdiocese, where she touched many lives through her compassion and faith.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM, in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana 70001.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Louise's Memory to the American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warriors Project.
