Dear Cousins,

Your parents were the loveliest people and will always hold a special place in my heart. May it bring some consolation that you all turned into people of whom they can be very proud and have shared their love with your own children and grandchildren.

I will sadly not be attending the funeral for Aunt Edna as I am currently battling a rather fierce bout of acute bronchitis. (Which was gifted to me by two of my youngest grandchildren who had just returned from a Disney cruise.) I will keep you all in my heart and in my prayers.

Love,

Maureen

I will always have a deep fondness, appreciation and admiration for Edna and Jim. My early years raising my family, as their neighbor on Blythe Ave, were greatly influenced by their example of honesty, integrity, warmth and kindness raising their five children. The Toner home was always welcoming and often served as "the annex" to my home for my children, especially Greg. I hold dear so many fond memories of life on Blythe Ave with the Toner family. I´ll never forget Greg being invited to join the "road trip" to Notre Dame football with the Toner and Creighton guys. Aimee helping me cut my squirmy 2 year old Meghan´s hair and the days Aimee helped while in HS as cheerleading coach for the St Dorothy squad. Meredith followed her example coaching when she was in HS. My heart goes out to Jimmy, Cary, Andy, Jeff, Aimee, their spouses and many grands as you mourn the loss of Edna and honor a legacy of a life well lived. God bless you all as Our Lord welcomes an angel.
