Edna Yates Obituary
Passed peacefully in the presence of her family after a long illness on December 10, 2024. Predeceased by her brothers, George, Ray, & Robert Boheen. Survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert Yates; sons, Dr. Charles (Maura), David, Michael (Michelle); 9 grandchildren; sister, Nancy (Dr. Curtis) Nelson; many nieces & nephews; favorite dog, Molly.
Edna is a descendent of one of the "First Families" of Greece. Edna was a graduate of Charlotte High School '57. Worked as office manager for psychiatrist Dr Joseph Lancia She enjoyed baking , listening to classical music, and loved her family and especially her grandchildren.
Family & friends may call at Thomas Funeral Chapels , Friday December 20th from 2pm-5pm, with a Prayer Service at 5pm. In lieu of flowers please consider contributions to the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra https://rpo.org/support/ or WXXI Classical https://www.wxxiclassical.org/
