Ghassan Chamoun

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Ghassan Chamoun, who entered the Kingdom of Heaven, surrounded by the love of his family.

Ghassan's life was defined by his unwavering faith, deep love for his family, and steadfast belief in miracles. He was the ultimate example of one who believed in the power of prayer. His values of family, hard work, and faith will live on in all who knew him. We take comfort in knowing this is not goodbye, but rather "until we meet again," with the reassurance that we will one day be reunited.

Ghassan is survived by his devoted wife, Theresa; his loving children, George (Apryl), Paula (Scott), Louis, and Paul (Shanon); and his cherished grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb, Elias, Olivia, and Julia. He is also survived by his dear siblings Chaouki (Layla), Rachid (Barbara), and Ahsan, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved him deeply.

Ghassan's life story will be shared during his visitation on Sunday, August 17th, 2-5PM, 1411 Vintage Lane, 14626. A meal will be shared following calling hours. His funeral service will be held on Monday August 18, 2025 at 10AM, at Hope Lutheran Church, 1301 Vintage Lane, 14626. Immediately following, Ghassan will be laid to rest at Irondequoit Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to share a meal together following the burial.
