SWIDEN, EDNAN "Ed" of Waterford; August 15, 2025; age 81; Loving husband of the late Darla, together for over 50 years; Beloved father of Mark Swiden and Eric Swiden (Melissa Akers); Son of the late James Swiden, Zinab Zee Reed (Charles); Dear brother of Sharon (Tom) Forster, Robert (Jean) Reed and the late Rajette "Reg" Swiden; Also cherished by his grand dogs Bella, the late Princess, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Swiden retired as an Executive Cost Estimator Accountant from General Motors after 40 years of service and was a veteran of the United States Army. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State University. Ed enjoyed golfing, taking vacations especially in the southern states, and socializing with his family and friends. He dearly loved his wife, raising his two boys, and spending time with his adorable grand puppies. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery, where he was fondly called "The Mayor". Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
