DEFORE, HELEN of Waterford; August 13, 2025; age 98; Dear wife of the late Emilio Cruz and the late Joe Defore; Beloved mother of David (Nancy) Cruz, Margaret (late Chuck) Craig, Joe Defore, Elizabeth (late Jimmy) Knasko, Lisa Defore, Daniel (Val) Defore and predeceased by Dolores Johnson, Cerilla Hammer, Emily Wells and Luis Martinez; Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Helen was one of ten children. She attended Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church and worked in Food Services at Saint Joseph Hospital and Canterbury on the Lakes. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service. Rite of Committal All Saints Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.
