Eduardo Almanza Perez, born on October 9, 1941, in San Antonio, Texas, entered eternal rest on October 23, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by his family in League City, Texas, at the age of 84.
Visitation and Rosary (6 PM), will take place at South Park Funeral Home located at 1310 N. Main St.,
Pearland, Texas on Sunday, November 9, from 2 pm until 8 pm. Funeral services will be at St. Hyacinth located at 2921 Center St., Deer Park, Texas on Monday, November 10, at 10 am.
After the church service we will return to South Park Funeral Home where Eduardo "Daddy, Tio, Grandpa The Great" will be laid to rest near his beloved baby boy, Eduardo Perez, Jr., and alongside his granddaughter, Charlie Perez Salmon.
Eduardo proudly served his country in the United States Navy, where he exemplified courage, discipline, and dedication - qualities that guided him throughout his life. He worked for decades in commercial construction and carpentry before joining Pasadena ISD at Bondy Intermediate School, where he became a positive influence and role model to countless students.
On December 28, 1960, Eduardo married the love of his life, Estella Herrera Felan Perez. Together they shared sixty-five years of marriage - a life filled with love, laughter, and deep devotion to their family of 5.
A talented and hardworking man, Eduardo took extraordinary pride in his craftsmanship. His skilled hands built more than structures - they built a home and a legacy of care, perseverance, and love. He retired from Pasadena ISD, where his dedication and work ethic were deeply appreciated by his colleagues and students alike.
Eduardo had a personality that drew people in. Neighborhood children loved spending time with him, and he naturally became a mentor and role model to them and to the students at Bondy Intermediate. He was also an amazing uncle to his many nieces and nephews, always offering encouragement, laughter, and wisdom. His kindness, humor, and genuine care for others made everyone feel welcome and valued.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose greatest joy was spending time with his family. He especially loved fishing, whether it was a peaceful day by the water or sharing laughter and stories with loved ones. Eduardo cherished attending every activity where his children or grandchildren took part - football, baseball, softball, lacrosse, music, scouting, and any event where they were involved. His presence
and support meant everything to his family, and he never missed an opportunity to cheer them on with pride.
Known for his protective nature, sharp humor, and generous spirit, Eduardo leaves behind a legacy of strength, kindness, and love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Estella Herrera Felan Perez; his son Tomas Perez and daughter-in-law Mary Helen Gutierrez Perez; his daughter Sara Perez Treon and son-in-law Douglas Treon; his son Gabriel Felan (Christopher) Perez and son-in-law Floyd Alfonzo Christopher; and his daughter Estella Marie Perez and son-in-law Justin Seymour; Frank Jonathan Edwards (Chip) and his wife Kathleen Garza Edwards, their son Jakob Kristopher Edwards and twin sons Hayden Jonathan Edwards and Matthew Clifford Edwards. He is also survived by his brother Rogelio Almanza Lopez, with whom he shared a birthday (but not the same year), and sister-in-law Marlene, and Aunt Maria Almanza Ramirez and many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.
Eduardo was the proud grandfather of Jennifer Rene Flores Falzon, Leon Joe Flores, Eduardo Antonio Perez, Ava Rose Treon, Sara Rose Perez, Isabella Loren Moreno, Noah Gabriel Moreno, Lilyana Quinn Seymour, Charlie Perez Salmon† and Vivian Olivia Salmon. Great-grandchildren Emma Flores, Zenaida Flores, Xavier Flores, Trinity Flores, Skye Flores, and Cailey Falzon (with whom he shared the same birthday), who were a large part of his pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his mother Sara Almanza, father Tomas Perez his baby boy Eduardo Perez, Jr., his granddaughter Charlie Perez Salmon, his brothers Tomas Perez, Pedro Perez, David Perez, Juan Perez, Daniel Perez, Tomas Perez, Alfredo Lopez, and his sisters Margaret Perez Diaz, Henrietta Perez Blakey, Alisa Perez Pastrano, Eileen Perez Paz, Ida Perez, Irene Perez, Maria Elena Perez Rosas.
Eduardo will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his service to his country, his joy in fishing, and his lifelong devotion to his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. We will Love you forever.
