Edward G. “Ed” Aiken, 62, passed away in Fort Collins on Sunday, November 14, 2010. He was born in Reading, PA, on December 3, 1947, to Leon Arthur and Eleanor (Halpin) Aiken. Ed graduated from Clarkson College of Technology in Potsdam, NY where he was a member of Eta Kappa Nu(Electrical Engineering Honorary) and Tau Beta Phi(National Engineering Society). He later received his MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He married Linda Griesmyer on June 27, 1970, in Oneida, NY. They moved to Fort Collins in 1976 after living in Rochester, NY for six years. Ed had a successful thirty-three-year career with Eastman Kodak, both in Rochester, NY, and Windsor, CO. Ed is survived by his wife Linda of Fort Collins and two sons: Brian and his wife Andrea of Atlanta, GA, and Craig and his wife Michaela of Longmont, CO. Also surviving are Ed’s father, Leon Aiken of Delmar, NY; brothers Patrick (Bonnie) Aiken of Cleveland, OH, and Stephen Aiken of Baldwinsville, NY; and sister, Carol (Paul) Wolfe of Niskayuna, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews. Ed’s mother, Eleanor, preceded him in death. Ed leaves a loving family that appreciates his fine mind, quick wit, and his love of reading. He was a charter member of the British Motoring Club of Northern Colorado (BMCNC), restoring and driving vintage Triumphs. When not reading or motoring, Ed also practiced the fine art of woodworking.
