Funeral Services for Eduardo Luna Alaniz, 78, of Odessa will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel. Viewing will be held Monday and Tuesday from 10 am to 8 pm at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Edward was born in Poteet on August 28, 1944 to Martin and Adela Alaniz. He enjoyed being outdoors and worked in lawn care. He married Angelita Garcia on July 10, 1964 in Brownfield. Edward is preceded in death by his wife, Angelita Alaniz; granddaughter, Marina Mendez; great-granddaughter, McKenzie Reyes; parents, Martin and Adela Alaniz and 6 siblings.
Edward is survived by his 2 sons, Tony Alaniz and Joe Alaniz and wife Kathy; 2 daughters, Gloria Contreras and husband Quintin and Amy Mendez and husband Fernando; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Lupe and Tomas Alaniz and 2 sisters Elena Trevino and Vera Martinez.
