Edward Lee Barker, 86, of Maynard, departed this life on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
Edward was born on April 26, 1939, in Poplar Bluff, MO., to the late Marion Barker and Stella Harris Barker. Edward was an entrepreneur and owned a sawmill and woodworking shop. He was of Pentecostal faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Eddens Barker; parents, Marion and Stella Barker; son, Edward Lee Barker Jr.
He is survived by his daughters, Lawanda (James) Knee of Maynard, and Antone Ray of Maynard; niece (like a daughter) Brandy King of Maynard; grandchildren, Jessica (Trenton Rainwater) Shocklee of Maynard, Austin Shocklee of Maynard, Lee (Chassidy) Wooldridge of Maynard, Paige (Alvin) Creed of Pocahontas, Samantha (BJ) Cagle of Pocahontas, Kylie Knee of Nashville, TN., and Cody, Joe and Emma Ray of Maynard; great grandchildren, Axel and David Creed, Bella (Dennis) Clark, Logan Louvier, Tyson Wooldridge, Conner Beard, Eli Beard and Lexi Beard; daughter-in-law, Teresa Barker along with many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 6, 2026, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm with the funeral service to begin at 3:00 pm in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with Dick Riney officiating. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Austin Shocklee, Lee Wooldridge, Trenton Rainwater, Alvin Creed, Cody Ray, Logan Louvier and Gordon Johnson.
