Edward William Baumann

Edward William Baumann, age 80, of Blue Ash, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Gail Baumann for 40 years, and a devoted father to Tina (Tom) Budde, Eddy Baumann, and Tony (Melanie) Baumann. He was also a proud grandfather to David Saurber, Eddie Saurber, Brandon Robertson, Izzi Brown, and Gabbi Baumann, as well as a cherished great-grandfather to Bentley, Mercedes, Lillie, Paisley, Aidan, Eden, Scarlett, and Blaine.

Born on December 12, 1945, he was the son of the late Earl and Mildred Eileen Baumann. He is survived by his siblings, Earleen Clark, Earl Baumann, and Ellie Sands. Ed was a member of Moeller High School's inaugural graduating class in 1964 and remained active with his classmates, meeting regularly for lunch.

Following high school, he served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He sustained lifelong injuries as a result of exposure to Agent Orange and enemy fire, yet persevered to receive an honorable discharge and several commendations, including The Purple Heart.

He built a successful career in roofing sales, which provided for his family and supported his interests in fishing and hunting. He was passionate about outdoor activities, often pursuing the goal to "Make Fishing Great Again." Ed held deep appreciation for his family, friends, country, and faith. He was a long-standing parishioner of St. Saviour Catholic Church.

Visitation will be Wednesday March 11, 2026 at 10:00 am. - 11:00 am. at BLUE ASH - Strawser Funeral Home 9503 Kenwood Road Blue Ash, OH 45242. Funeral Mass will follow at St. Saviour Catholic Church 4136 Myrtle Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45236 at 11:30 am., burial will follow at Rest Haven Burial Park in Evendale.
