Edward Harlan Bennett, 81, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at home. He was born November 3, 1944 to the late Harlan D. and Eva M. (Annibali) Bennett. He is survived by his loving wife, 62 years, Emma Susan (Batdorf) Bennett.
Edward was a man of faith and attended the Community Bible Church, Palmyra. In his spare time he enjoyed music, the Hershey Bears, and going on cruises. More than anything he enjoyed eating and being with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Tammi Jo Danner and husband Ron, Anthony E. Bennett and wife Debra, Christopher A. Bennett, and Andrew M. Bennett; grandchildren, Joshua Moeller and wife Irene, Cory Moeller and wife Ashley, Emilie, Gabrielle, Madelynne, and Connor Bennett; great grandchildren, Ava and Anna Moeller and Saint Sharps; sister Victoria May; nieces, Sherri Farr and husband Bill Nikki Perez; and nephews, Kyle May and wife Alison and Jason Bennett and wife Jennifer. He is predeceased by his brother Ronald Bennett.
A committal service with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 10AM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA 17003.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org or his church, Community Bible Church, 1849 S. Forge Rd., Palmyra, PA 17078.
