Edward "Eddie" Lebron Bettis 45, of Decatur, TN passed away September 12, 2024 at his home. Ed was born May 1, 1980.
Ed was a jack of all trades and a master of none. He traveled the country as a carnival employee. He loved being outdoors in nature, shooting guns, riding motorcycles and watching the Comic Channel.
Ed was a stubborn man even as a child, though he was stubborn he would do anything for anyone. He loved his family all through his stubborn life, but his greatest love and joy was his daughter, Lucy. Though they were many miles apart he would always light up when he mentioned her name. She was his world.
Ed was loved by his family and will be greatly missed and stubbornness will never be the same.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Nettie Bettis; stepfather's, Eugene "Gene" Flowers and Phil Morris, and a stepbrother, Nathan Morris.
Survivors include his mother and caregiver, JoAnn Morris; daughter, Lucy Bettis; son, Damon Bettis; sister, Misty (Andy Mitchell) Bettis; brother, Phillip Redd; niece, Brooklyn (Austin) Bradam; nephew, Cody (Rylee) Dalton; great niece, Neveah Bettis (his stubborn mini me); father; Glen Salmon; stepsister; Kristy Flowers; stepbrothers; Kevin Flowers, Charles Salmon and Andrew Morris; special aunt and uncle; Lois and Landon Harden; aunt and uncles, Betty and Ronnie Davies, Mark and Sharon Bettis; best Friend, Charlie Edmiston along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
The family would like to thank his nurses with Hospice of Chattanooga -Athens Office- Whitney, Sally Kate, Southern and Stephanie for the love, care and service you gave our stubborn Ed.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service, 400 S. White St., Athens, TN 37303.
