Edward Franklin Bogie

Rev. Edward Franklin Bogie, 91, of 814 Frank St., Roxboro, died Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Born in Madison County, KY, Rev. Bogie was the son of the late Frank and Luella Chamberlain Bogie. Rev. Bogie was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Bogie. He served in Army during the Korean War. He received his Master of Divinity from Duke's Divinity School and was a Methodist minister locally for many years.
Rev. Bogie is survived by his wife, Ruth Bradford Bowes Bogie; three children, Barry Bogie, Randy Bowes (Tammy) and Tim Bowes (Betty); two brothers, Tom Bogie and David Bogie; two sisters, Nancy Gross and Cathy Wray; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. Ann Benson and Rev. Belton Joyner. Burial will follow in Person Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2PM.
