Edward Byrd Bryant, aged 57, of Ashland, TN, passed away on June 17, 2025. Born on June 29, 1967, Edward's life was marked by his deep-rooted strength and stubbornness, characteristics that endeared him to many. Edward graduated from Cheatham County Central High School and soon after served in the Marine Corps for five years, embracing the camaraderie that military life afforded and soon brought back the best stories to share. Post-service, he embarked on a long-standing career as a truck driver, similar to his career in the military before switching to factory work for the last couple years of his life. Beyond his professional life, Edward was a pillar in his community, always involved one way or another in the activities of his children (even if sometimes he didn't want to).He was a hardworking man that would move heaven and earth for his children and the friends of said kids. Edward is Survived by his daughter, Kirsten Bryant; son, Jd Bryant; and brothers, Frank D. Bryant Jr., Philip Bryant and best friend/adoptive brother John Yost. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin D. Bryant and Lorine Bryant. A visitation will be held at 10 am, followed by a service at 12 pm at Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St., Ashland City, TN 37015 and his burial at 2 pm on June 30, 2025 at Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery preceding a folding of the flag ceremony. Edward Byrd Bryant will be remembered as a respected and beloved member of his community, a devoted father, and a proud veteran. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
