Edward C Carr

Rev. Edward Carr, age 62, of Mooresburg, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. He was saved and baptized at a young age at Old Spruce Pine Church and attended Spruce Pine Church all of his life. He married his beloved wife, Mary Carr, on November 16, 1979.
He was preceded in death by his father, Woodie Carr; step father, EJ Sartain; mother, Shirley Sartain; brother, Andrew Carr; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Mary Carr; daughters, Latosha Herron (Scott), Nicole Helton (James), and Amanda Young (Corey); grandkids, Kelsea, Hannah, Kaylee, Devin, Eli, Gunner, Griffin, Waylon, Wyatt, and Katelyn; sister, Teresa Helton (Carroll) and Jacob Helton; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, January 21, 2022 at Christian Sells Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm with Rev. James Helton and Rev. Odell Davidson officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Lovin Cemetery. The family asks if you plan on attending the graveside service to please meet at the cemetery by 10:45 am. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
