Obituary of Edward M. Chuckran Jr.
Edward M. Chuckran Jr. of Port Jervis died peacefully on February 14, 2024 with his mother by his side. He was 61.
The son of Hannah Sneddon Chuckran and the late Edward M. Chuckran Sr. he was born on May 19, 1962 in East Stroudsburg, PA.
After graduating from Port Jervis HS, Ed went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree from St. Thomas Aquinas College. He loved the outdoors most especially hunting and fishing. Ed was a die hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys, the Red Sox and undoubtedly a devoted Tar Heel, University of North Carolina fan. He enjoyed spending time with his friends playing pool. He loved his children very much and wished to hear what was going on in their life. His special bond with his brothers was reflective in his unwavering decision to donate his kidney to his late brother Thomas. In death Ed was able to give the gift of life through organ donation once again.
In addition to his father Edward Sr and brother Thomas, Ed was predeceased in life by his grandparents Evan Reese Sneddon, Sadie Spayd Sneddon, Pauline Gaydos Chuchran and Andrew I. Chuchran.
Devoted son of Hannah Chuckran. Beloved father of Kyle Chuckran (Frankie), Hannah Tuttle (Russ) and Troy Chuckran. Dear brother of David Chuckran and Daniel Chuckran (Kristen). Brother in law of Julie Chuckran-Ryder. Grandfather of Teagan, Marley, Eleanor, Hazel & Evan. Godfather & Uncle of Nicholas Chuckran (Jenna Carey), Avery & Eva Chuckran. Cherished cousin of the Burghardt Family.
A private cremation will take pace at MacLennan Hall Crematorium.
Donations may be made to the Port Jervis Recreation Department or the Port Jervis Deerpark Humane Society.
