Dr. Edward R Close

Edward Roy Close, age 89, son of Theodore and Bernice Close was born October 7th, 1936 in Pilot Knobb, MO. He passed away Friday October 24th 2025 at Texas County Memorial hospital, Houston, MO.

Edward was preceded by his parents and wife Jacqui.

He is survived by his son and two grandchildren.

Edward grew up in Southeast Missouri areas such as Pilot Knobb, Arcadia Valley and Houston. He graduated from Houston High School in 1955. He went to Central Methodist College to get his bachelors degree in Mathematics and went on to get a PhD from Johns Hopkins University.

Edward was an explorer, a scientist, and a teacher. He has been all around the world and his most recent trip was in 2020 where he went to Romania to give a talk on one of his many books. He has all over the US from Florida to California and even lived in Saudi Arabia on two different occasions. He has visited many foreign countries including Germany, Egypt, Romania, Great Britain, and others.

Edward would always explore everywhere he lived even before he graduated high school. Often exploring the hills and caves of what is now Golden Hills Trails. He had a fascination with the world and wanted to understand it through science and math. He spent his life dedicated to understanding the world around him as best he could and sharing that knowledge with those around him.

Edward spent his time "relaxing" by writing books about his understanding of the world and how it was explained through science and Math. He has many books published of which Transcendental Physics, MoldRx4u, Sacred Cube, and more. He always wanted to share his understanding with others and was never averse to criticisms.

Edward was a loving father and husband. A provider, a protector, and a caregiver. He always knew that everything he had and was given was a gift from god and he did his best never to take that for granted. He will be missed by his family and friends around the world, but we know that he is finally free and at peace.

A visitation for Edward will take place Monday, November 3, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Fox Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington, MO.
