Edward M. Conlon, 88, of Philadelphia, PA passed away Friday, July 26th, 2024 peacefully, at Nazareth Hospital, in Philadelphia. Ed was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 12, 1935, a son of the late Ruth (Billon) and Edward J. Conlon. He was the brother of the late Ruth Kalisak who passed in 2021 and Uncle of the late Ruth Anne Kalisak. He was the widower of Mary (Salisbury) Conlon.
Ed was a former member of Maternity BVM in Philadelphia. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a Leader of Inspection at SKF for 27 Years before retiring in 1991. He also was a member of WM. D. Oxley AL Post 133, St. Leo K of C Council #1294 and AOH #39.
Edward is survived by his nephew Joseph M. Kalisak (Linda), great nephew Joseph Kalisak Jr., Charles Kalisak and Cheyenne Irizzary (Brian). He is also survived by his Great Great Niece Haleigh Irizzary.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday August 1, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home 507 West Ave. in Jenkintown, PA. A Religious Service will be held at 10:30 AM. His interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Relatives and Friends are asked to gather after the cemetery service at the William D. Oxley American Legion Post #133 at 4637 Decatur St. Philadelphia, PA.19136.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10306. http://www.t2t.org
