Edward R. DaRocha, 77, of New Bedford passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Brandon Woods of New Bedford. Born in New Bedford, he was the son the late Raymond DaRocha and the late Anne M. (Correia) DaRocha.
Edward was a communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church but frequented many churches in the area and a longtime member of the St. Joseph's Society and former member of the choir. He was a caregiver for many years at the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health and also worked at Shaw's in Fairhaven for 16 years.
Edward is survived by his brother, Raymond DaRocha and his wife Jackie of Bradenton, FL. He is preceded in death by his brothers Robert DaRocha and Raymond DaRocha Jr.
A Funeral Mass will be held for Edward on Wednesday, March 18th at St. Lawrence Martyr Parish at 11am. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
