Victor Castro, 80, of New Bedford, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose Alves Castro and the late Esmerelda Lopes (de Araujo) Castro and loving husband to Manuela (Rafael) Castro.
Victor was a kind and loving man who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially laughing with his grandchildren. He was an avid golfer and long time employee at the Titleist Division of Acushnet Co and was also a licensed realtor with Century 21. He enjoyed food and could often be found at his favorite restaurant, Bom Appetite.
Survivors include his wife, Manuela; daughter, Vanessa Castro Ryan and her husband Andrew; son, Stephen Castro and his wife Tammy; grandchildren, Cody, Logan, Mackenzie, Eloise, Theo and James; brother, Jose Castro; sister Margrued Castro and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held for Victor on Friday, March 13th at the Boulevard Funeral Home from 9-11am with a Memorial Service to be held at 11am. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
