In North Dighton, October 12, 2025 Edward C. DeMoura loving husband of the late Carolyn (Corey) DeMoura died in his home with his family by his side at the age of 79. Ed was the son of the late Antone and Margaret (Blanchette) DeMoura. He was the retired owner and operator of E&C Home Improvement in Dighton after his retirement Ed went to work at the Dighton Rehoboth Regional School District in the custodial department. Ed's enjoyment in life was riding his Harley, woodworking and spending time with his family especially in the back yard sitting by the fire. In his younger years Ed spent time traveling the country. He was also in a few bands in the 60's and 70's. He played bass guitar and sang back up vocals He raved about his rig which included a Hagstrom 4 string bass, through an SVT 15 flip-top bass combo amp that would make his bell bottoms flap in the wind. At the time of his passing Ed was a member and board member of the Patriot Riders Ma Chapter 7. He was the former Vice President sergeant of arms of Patriot Riders Ma Chapter 5. In his former years Ed was an original charter member of the Bold Ones who he held near and dear to his heart, serving as Vice President for several years. He was the loving father of Amanda Emond and her husband Chris of North Dighton and their children and Ed's grandchildren Thomas Emond of PA, Jordan Emond of PA and Christopher Emond of North Dighton. Ed will be greatly missed by his great granddaughter Carlee Raine Emond also of PA. and his two sons Scott and Dean DeMoura both of FL. Brother of Joyce Jones of Berkley, Doreen Machado of East Taunton and the late Margaret Young (Peg), Antone Jr, (Sonny), Virginia Lea, Raymond (Bobby), John (Jack) and James DeMoura. Beloved Uncle of several nieces and nephews. Ed was a wise man and a skilled carpenter who lived a good life!! He was kind and would help anyone in need. He had an eye for woodwork and an unmeasurable knowledge of motorcycles, cars, building and fixes things and he enjoyed sharing that knowledge with others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him but especially by his loving daughter, son in law grandchildren and great grandaughter. He adored his grandchildren and took pride in watching them live by the morals and values he instilled in them. He left a legacy of hard work and honestly that they will carry with them forever. Ed is now resting easy in the arms of his beautiful wife Carolyn, whom he has missed for the last 18 years. They are riding the smooth roads of heaven together now forever. Calling hours will be held at the O'Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton on Thursday, October 16th from 4-7 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday at Fox Cemetery Bayview Ave in Berkley at 12 noon.
