In East Longmeadow, Jeffrey Hickerson, age 80, passed away peacefully at East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Home following a lengthy illness on October 11, 2025. Jeffrey was the husband of the late Ellen (Nell) Hisckerson. He was born in Vimidji, MN, the son of the late Bruce Hickerson and Deloris (Angvall) Hickerson. Jeffrey was educated in Billings, Montana schools. He served his country honorably while in the U.S. Navy, retiring as Senior Chief after 28 years of service. Jeffrey was a resident of East Taunton following his retirement for the Navy. He later worked at Walmart in maintenance department. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, doing leather work, making beaded necklaces for veterans, was an avid reader, loved cooking, volunteering for the honor guard at Bourne National Cemetery, and spending time with family and friends. Jeffrey is survived by his children; Andrew Mulrooney and his wife Huguette of Quebec City, Canada, Thomas Mulrooney and girlfriend Barbara Bzdula of East Taunton, Carl Mulrooney of Taunton and son inlaw Frank Patrizi and late daughter Linda. He also leaves his friend and partner Janice Ord of Ludlow, his brother Michael Hickerson of Colrado, grandchildren; Kelly and Frank Patrizi, Yannis Rivard Mulrooney, and Jillian and Derek Mulrooney, and also 5 great grandchildren. A graveside service with military honors will be held at the Bourne National Cemetery in Bourne, MA on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 10:45 am. Visitation is kindly omitted.
