Edward Charles Dilbeck, age 87, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, surrounded by his family at his home. He was born on March 10, 1938, in Ducktown, Tennessee, the son of the late Hayden William Dilbeck and Dessie Helen Stroud Dilbeck. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Marie Lowery Dilbeck; brothers, Frederick "Fred" Dilbeck; sisters, Jean Dilbeck Arp, Opal Dilbeck, and Jody Dilbeck.
Mr. Dilbeck is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Bronce Henderson) Lonergan; son, Perry (Deborah) Dilbeck; granddaughter, Brittany (Jonny) McMahon; great-granddaughter, Grace; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The Dilbeck Family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Jean Simms and Ms. Victoria Fletcher for the exceptional care and unwavering love you have shown to both Lois and Edward throughout the years. Your kindness and devotion have meant more than words can express, and our family is deeply grateful.
A Funeral Service to honor Mr. Dilbeck's life will take place on Friday, May 2, 2025, beginning 11:30 AM at Salem Baptist Church, 1724 GA-155 N, McDonough, GA 30252. Interment will follow the service in the Salem Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, May 1, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors.
