Edward James Faulkner, lovingly known as Papa, passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 58. He was born on December 12, 1965, in Florida City, FL, and most recently resided in Lost Nation, IA.
Edward had a zest for life and enjoyed various hobbies. He had a deep love for music and cherished spending time with his four grandchildren and three stepdaughters. Edward was also known for his love of food, always insisting on adding a dash of hot sauce to his meals. In the evenings, he would frequently be found watching his favorite TV shows, "Cops" and "48 Hours," alongside his spouse and our family dog.
Nothing brought Edward more joy than the presence of his partner, Julie Renkes, who was his world. He also cherished the time spent with his grandchildren Alyssa Lucy, Bobby Lucy, Bently Kunde, August Kunde. Edward was a dedicated fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and took pride in supporting his favorite sports team.
Known for his wisdom, Edward often shared his favorite sayings and mottos. He believed that money was merely temporary and couldn't be taken with us, and he also believed that when it was his time to go, it was his time.
Edward's proudest accomplishment was being a grandpa. He cherished his role as a stepfather and grandparent, always being there for his family. His impact on their lives was immeasurable.
Edward is survived by his partner Julie Renkes, his stepdaughters Nicole Renkes, Corrine Lucy, and Tanna Estes also his son in-law Joseph Kunde and his four beloved grandchildren.
