Edward James Fink

Edward James Fink, a devoted husband, father, and distinguished veteran, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, in Virginia Beach, VA, at the age of 81. Born on October 27, 1944, in Meadville, PA, Edward lived a life marked by dedication to his family and country.

Edward proudly served in the United States Navy for 30 years, achieving the rank of Master Chief before retiring with honor. His naval career was one of steadfast commitment and excellence, earning him the respect and admiration of his peers.

While stationed in Greece, Edward met the love of his life, Irene. Their union was one of mutual respect and deep affection, flourishing over the course of their 56-year marriage. Edward embraced the culture and language of Greece, which marked the beginning of a beautiful life together with Irene.

Edward was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Loretta Leffingwell. He is survived by his cherished wife, Irene Fink; his daughters, Lori Ingle and Maria Fink; grandson, Dallas Ingle; and his sisters, Judy Derby, Cindy Hall, Tina Rogers, and Donna Cessna. Though he has departed, Edward's legacy will endure through the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.

A service to honor Edward's life and the rendering military honors will be held at a Family Choice on Saturday, April 4, 2026, beginning at 11AM with a reception to follow, providing an opportunity for family, friends, and fellow service members to pay their respects and celebrate the life of an honorable man.
