Edward James Fisher Jr., lovingly known as Shawn, was born on February 25, 1969, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Verlo Fisher and Edward J. Fisher Sr. He peacefully departed this life on January 15, 2025, at home, surrounded by love, after a courageous battle with asthma.
Shawn's smile and laughter could light up any room. When he walked in he was a statement himself, his demeanor and confidence was all he needed and couldn't anyone tell him otherwise. He was a graduate of Boston Public Schools and cherished being the youngest sibling in his family, embracing all the joys of being the "baby brother." To William better known as "Billy" and Janine Reed. He was always meticulous about his appearance, Shawn ensured that everyone who stepped out with him was dressed their best.
During his teenage years, Shawn met the love of his life, Erika. The two fell deeply in love, married, and shared a beautiful life together, raising three children: Shurida Fisher, N'Dyah Fisher, and Shawn Fisher. As a father, Shawn expressed his love through "tough love," guiding his family with wisdom, strength, and affection.
Shawn dedicated much of his life to caring for his beloved mother, Verlo, until her passing in 2022. He was a devoted family man who took pride in supporting and nurturing those around him. Shawn worked at WARE Security Agency, where he was highly respected and admired by his colleagues and all who knew him and left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
Shawn's legacy is one of Love, Loyalty, Devotion, and unwavering faith. Though we will deeply miss him, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. We will forever cherish his memory in our hearts.
