Carol Schmitz Obituary
Carol Marie Schmitz, 84 of Litchfield, MN passed away on September 28, 2025. A funeral service will be held on October 3, 2025 at 1:00pm at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home, with a visitation 2 hours prior. Interment will be at Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.
Carol was born on July 31, 1941, to Doris (Nagel) and Oliver Albaugh in St. James, MN. She attended school in St. James, MN and married the love of her life Arnold Schmitz on August 3, 1963. Carol loved the outdoors, and her hobbies included fishing, sewing, quilting, traveling, cooking and baking, drawing, and painting.
Carol is survived by her children Priscilla (Larry) Knight, Denise Schmitz, Samantha (Jason) Huberty; grandchildren Jessie, Amber, Amanda, Christopher, Loren, Cheyenne, Toni, Tanya, Jamie, Michael, Jeremy, Ashley, and Justin; great-grandchildren Athena, Lyllie, Nevaeh, Lucy, Helmer, Otto, Denise, Naythan, Alisa, Theodore, Peyton, Penny, Olive, Ezekiel, Asiah, Avery, Christopher, Bryson, Madalyn, Emily, Abby, Avery, Jase, Jaxon, Braelynn, Baby Huberty; sisters Larine and Linda; and brother Nathan.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Arnold; parents Doris and Oliver Albaugh; brothers Charles, and Larry; son Kerry; grandchildren Anthony, Robert, April, Megan; and great-granddaughter Briar.
