Edward Earl "Ed" Garrard age 74 of Flat Rock, AL died Saturday, April 5 at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral services are Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 2 PM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tim Cushen officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 8 PM on Monday and 10 am until service time on Tuesday.
Ed was born May 21, 1950 in the Mount Olive Community to parents, John Edward and Nellie M. Shaw Garrard. He had owned and driven 18 wheeler's for around 50 years. He is survived by sons, Eddie Garrard, Michael Garrard(Kayla), daughters, Brenda Nunley, Annette Cameron(Sean Wimes), Darlene Furgerson(Justin), grandchildren, Britney Garrard, Jadyn Garrard, Jackson Garrard, Dylan Garrard, Malaki Garrard, Chris Woodruff. Brittany Woodruff, Mattison Glass, Jason Franklin, Claudia Moore, Ben Furgerson, Bradley Furgerson, Annie Jones, several great-grandchildren, girl friend, Stephanie Cameron, sister, Regina Sartin(Bobby), brother, Milford Garrard(Diane), along with many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Garrard was preceded in death by his parents, along with wives, Shirley Garrard, Diane Williams Garrard, mother of sons, Betty Joyce Parham, grandchildren, Amber Garrard, Brian Thomas, Marguerite McCellon, Jonathan Franklin, sister, Irene Odell, brother, George W. "Dub" Garrard, step-children, Carthell Franklin, Glenda Franklin, and Andy Franklin.
