Edward J. Geiger, Jr., 80, of Glenshaw, was called to his Lord on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Linda (Rodenbaugh), daughter Tracy (Scholtz), son-in-law, Kenny, and granddaughters Clare & Frankie Scholtz of Hampton. Ed is preceded in death by sons Michael and Gregory. Ed was a Eucharistic Minister and usher at St. Bonaventure Church for many years, where he also held office in the St. Bonaventure Men's Club. He was also a member of the knights of Columbus.

Ed had a wonderful personality and charmed all whom he met. He genuinely cared about people, and they could sense that. He never met a stranger. Ed is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He was a lifelong provider for his family, working in the Steel then the Life Insurance industries. His family will remember him as an awesome miracle warrior against the effects of the quadrilateral pontine brainstem stroke that he suffered on December 3, 2018. Ed fought through a bout of COVID which contributed to his demise. Ed and his family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the compassionate, amazing caregivers at Kane Regional in Ross. Visitation and Services will be held privately by the family. Donations in Ed's name can be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements made by the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd., Glenshaw.

I still think of Ed many times. I have such fond memories. Ed was truly one of the best people that I have ever known.

It is with great sadness that I write this. Ed was awesome. He and I sold insurance together with the Knights of Columbus. We also shared stories, laughter and deep conversations. We golfed together many times each of losing track of our score and making fun of each other. (Pretty sure we were supposed to be selling insurance..lol) Ed called my house during Christmas a few times to pretend he was Santa for my children. I think he totally enjoyed it.
Ed loved Linda and his entire family with all his heart. I'm sorry we lost contact but I always thought of him. Your with God now my old friend. Please know how much you mean and have meant to me.
RIP Ed
Your friend always.
