Giannetta, Edward Nunzio, "Eddie" 90 of Somers NY formerly of Yonkers and the Bronx, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21st 2025.
Edward was born on May 23rd, 1934 in The Bronx, New York to the late Lorenzo and Anna (Mezzacappa) Giannetta
Edward received a Bachelors Degree from Fordham University and he proudly served as a NYC Police Officer. He had a passion for politics, tennis, the stock market, scrabble and the NY Mets. He was strong in his faith and opinions. He was a true patriarch for his family!
Edward was pre-deceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Agatha (Aggie) of Somers, NY. He was the proud and loving Father of three sons, Edward of Somers, Lawrence of Newburgh and Matthew of Carmel and their lovely wives, Wendy (Edward), Cheryl (Lawrence) and Maria (Matthew). Grandpa (Pia) proudly loved and adored his Grandchildren, Andrew, Amanda, Daniel, Morgan and Nicole, and his new Grandson-in-Law Alex Zawodniak. Edward was the loving brother of the late Salvatore, James, and Lawrence Giannetta. He is survived by his brother Richard and many nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd., Katonah, NY on Friday, January 24th from 4 - 8pm
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY on Saturday, January 25th at 10:00am. Interment will follow at St Joseph's Cemetery, 357 Route 202, Somers, NY.
