Edward Wayne Grant, age 83, of Colt, died Friday, December 26, 2025, at his family's home in Vilonia, Arkansas. He had been in poor health for the past several months.

Mr. Grant was born March 12, 1942, in Forrest City, and was the son of Edward M. Grant and Sarah Beatrice Pervin Grant. He lived in Colt most all of his life and was one of the first employees of Warwick and later Sanyo. He also raised cattle and enjoyed the work of maintaining a family farm, hunting and fishing were his past times. He was known for being a strong, hard-working man, with a kind soul and tender heart. He was a member of the Colt United Methodist Church.

Mr. Grant married Joyce Cox in 1970, and she preceded him in death in 1989. He then married Anita Conder in 1999, and she survives him along with two daughters; Shannon Grant, and Mike, of Leadville, Colorado, and Lindsey Hardy, and husband, Andrew of Vilonia, two sisters; Pam Hess, and husband, Bill, of Colt, and Beverly Parker, and husband, Charlie, of Jonesboro, and six grandchildren; Grant, Cain, Wyatt, Braydon, Aydon, and Saylor.

Services will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, with burial in Hughes Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, 1:00 P.M., until the time of the service. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the online registry.
