Edward "Ed" Gross, 79, of San Tan Valley, Arizona, passed away on October 23, 2021. Ed was the son of Victor and Lucille Gross, born on July 14, 1942 in Owosso, Michigan. He lived in Michigan where he was an accomplished athlete and attended Michigan State University. He was a proud member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union, serving as an instructor in Michigan for 18 years. Ed's work took him to several different locations over the years, finally settling in Mesa, Arizona in 1995 where he met his wife, Jeanne LeBlanc Herring.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend who was always available to offer assistance with his various handyman skills. He enjoyed watching the Suns, Diamondbacks and Cardinals, but his favorite pastime was golf. He was a member of Arizona Golf Guild where he established many lasting friendships.

Ed is survived by his wife, Jeanne; his children, Jeff Gross (Lynette) and Kimm Beckman; stepchildren, Eric Herring (Brenda) and Kristin Smith (Derek); grandchildren, Brigette, Celina and Elyse Gross, Brandon and Evan Herring and Aidan and Maggie Smith. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Dave (Marion), Ernie (Barb), Harvey (Judy) and Vic (Grace).

Ed was very clear in his wish not to have any form of memorial service, preferring that he be remembered over a favorite beverage. Please consider a donation to a cancer or kidney disease charity in Ed's honor.
