Edward J. Hippely, 81 of Arvada, Colorado beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025. Born February 19, 1944, in Ravenna, Ohio he was raised in northeast Ohio, graduating in 1962 from Grand Valley High School in Orwell. Ed earned a BS in Agriculture in 1973 from Ohio State University, and dedicated his career to supporting the farmers of Central Pennsylvania. Moving to be with his children in Colorado in 2001, Ed worked for Via Mobility Services, made new friends, and continued his lifelong enjoyment of the outdoors.
He is survived by his children Jessica Hippely of Longmont, CO, Melissa Hippely of Louisville, CO, Calvin Hippely of Arvada, CO, Hannah Hippely of Longmont, CO, and Abigail Hippely of Santa Cruz, CA, his grandchildren, Justin Warner of Seattle, WA, Adria Hippely of Arvada, CO, Dominic Warner of Longmont, CO, Isaac Hippely of Arvada, CO, and Rae Kettle of Louisville, CO, his siblings, David Hippely of Middlefield, OH, Barbara Burdette of New Carlisle, OH, Teresa Braid of Ventura, CA, Gregory Hippely of Jefferson, OH, Helen Nash of Rock Creek, OH, Victor Hippely of Rome, OH, Martin Hippely of Evansville, IN, and Monica Whitesell of Siloam Springs, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents Julius and Katherine Hippely, his siblings, Timothy Hippely and Kathleen Gentis and his son, Adam Hippely.
A celebration of Ed's life will be held in Colorado in the Spring of 2026.
