Edward "Eddie" Derr Killian

Born 11/12/1958, to Sam and Doris Killian, in Mecklenburg county. The family later moved to the Killian home place in Lucia. Eddie was the first of four children. Following his birth came sisters and brother, Kimberly, Cheryl and Samuel. He is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Sidney & Sadie Killian and Stephen Edwards, his loving parents and sister Kim. Eddie leaves behind his sister Cheryl and brother Sam, as well as nieces, nephews and great nephews.

During his Christian education he played the trumpet and dominated the basketball court. He was an avid sports fan. He loved the Carolina Tar Heels. He was a lover of music and poetry. He was patriotic, loved and support our military, and never shied away from expressing his opinions.

Eddie was something else, some may say a charmer in his younger days. If you knew him you know he enjoyed cutting up and making people laugh. He offered a helping hand to those in need when he could. God had a plan for his life. He passed away, peacefully in his home after a battle with COPD.

Psalm 23:6- Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

The family will have a private ceremony and burial.
