He is survived by his wife Phyllis and children; Sharon (Curtis) Watkins, John (Diane) Konopa, Sandra (Steave) Hall, Brian (Phonphet) Konopa and Joel (Kelley) Konopa.
Grandchildren; Ambre Konopa, Kaela (Jeff) Stewart, Hannah (Derek Jones) Hall, Leah Hall, Aaron Watkins, Shea Watkins and Jacob Konopa. Sisters Benita Diers and Ethel Konopa.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A funeral mass will be held in Rockford at a later date.

Dad of my best friend Sandie Konopa. Ed was quiet, cool and collected. He was smart and I always remember him reading the newspaper in the family room. And I always will remember his vast collection of Neil Diamond!!
