In loving memory of Raymond S. Konopa, who peacefully left us on March 9, 2025, in East Aurora, NY. He was a devoted husband to Linda (nee Sobkowiak) and a cherished father to his beloved children, Michelle (James) Watson and Kristopher (Rebekka), as well as to the late Brian Konopa.
His legacy lives on through his adored grandchildren: Trevor (Andrea Nunez), Emelia, Ava, Aiden Marie, Levi, Parker, and Kamdyn, each carrying a piece of his heart with them. Raymond was preceded in death by his brother, the late Thomas (Barbara) Konopa, and he leaves behind brother-in-law Conrad (Barb) Sobkowiak, and sisters-in-law Debbie (the late Paul) Zulewski and Carol (the late Bill) Nowatzki, along with a close-knit family, including nieces, nephews, and many friends who will forever keep his memory alive.
Ray loved going on family vacations and trips with dear friends. When his children were young, he enjoyed coaching many softball, baseball and football teams, and what he enjoyed most was watching his grandchildren participate in many different sports and school events. Ray went on many walks with his beloved dog Ranger and spent lots of time outdoors fishing with his grandsons.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Raymond's remarkable life on Thursday, March 13, from 10 to 11 AM at the Crossroads Christian Church, located at 1050 Girdle Rd., East Aurora, NY. A heartfelt Celebration of Life will take place at 11 AM, honoring the joy he brought to all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Hospice Buffalo, Inc., in recognition of the compassionate care they provide.
