Edward Levon Little, a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, faithful servant of the Lord, and proud Army veteran, passed away on June 2, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on June 5, 1934, in Byrneville, Florida, he remained a lifelong resident of his beloved hometown.
A hardworking man through and through, Edward retired from Monsanto after many years of service and spent his life tending to his farm and cattle.
He had a passion for baseball and loved attending ballgames, often surrounded by family. However, it was the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren that brought him the greatest joy. His face would light up in their presence, and he treasured sharing stories, wisdom, and quiet moments with each of them.
Edward was a loving and dedicated father who raised two sets of children with strength, compassion, and unwavering faith. His home was one of kindness, hard work, and love-a true reflection of the values he held dear.
Above all, Edward loved the Lord with all of his heart. His life was a testament to his faith, and he lived each day with integrity and purpose. He often reminded those around him with his personal motto: "Be Ready." It was more than just words-it was how he lived, preparing his heart and soul every day to meet his Savior. He faithfully attended Beulah Chapel Assembly of God, where his love for the Lord and commitment to his church community were evident to all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of faith, family, and hard work will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
Edward was preceded in death by his father, Orbie Little; mother, Lucy Little; wife, Earlie Mae Little; brother-in-law, Richard Renfroe; and great-grandson, Max Little.
He is survived by his daughter, Renea (Paul) Wilson; son, Larry (Patricia) Little; sister, Annie Renfroe; grandchildren, Shannon (Branden) Moore; Sean (Hilary) Little; Paul (Mandi) Wilson; Ami (Junior) Fontana; Jason (Glenda) Wilson; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Sawyer, Kipton, Bennett, Eliana, Monroe, Micah, Emma, Madison, Enzo, Allison, Genevieve, Sebastian, Cecelia; and former daughter-in-law, Juanita (Phillip) Kast; along with other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church with Reverend Tim Floyd and Reverend Bill Stuckey officiating.
Burial will follow at Beulah Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 from 2:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM at Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church.
