Edward MacMillan, 61, of Harveys Lake, passed away Saturday, March 30, at home, unexpectedly.
 
He was born in Wilkes-Barre and educated in the Tunkhannock schools. He worked most recently as a landscaper for Green Tree Landscaping in Dallas and prior to that Offset Paperback, Dallas Nursery and Benton Foundry.

Edward was preceded in death by: Father, Percy MacMillan, Stepmother, Margaret (Tinker) MacMillan, Mother Barbara Brueckner, Paternal grandparents David and Beulla MacMillan, Maternal Grandmother Elizabeth Smith, brother James (Jimmy) Patton, Father-in-law/Mother-in-law John C. and Betty J. Herbert and brother-in-law Duane Herbert.

Edward is survived by his wife of 23 years, Denise Herbert MacMillan. Sons Ryan MacMillan (Danielle Murphy) and Zeb MacMillan. Daughter Samantha MacMillan. Brothers David Patton (Jodi), Michael Patton (Tammy), Joseph MacMillan (Jennifer Pritchyk), Percy MacMillan (Kimberly), Lynn MacMillan (Melissa), Lou MacMillan (Chasity Mackert), Charles Conden (Teresa Cruz), sister Lori Patton (Carl Allar), Aunt Freddi Fetchko (Michael), Sister-in-law Cathie Thomas (Paul), Brother-in-law John B. Herbert (Narin), Granddaughters Eliza Bliss and Zoe Mae MacMillan and Baby MacMillan (due 4/20/2024). Grandpuppy Luna. Edward will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He loved his children; his greatest joy was his granddaughters and grandpuppy. Before becoming ill with ESRD he loved to hunt and gather at the family grove. He thoroughly enjoyed getting together at the annual Tom Patton Family Reunion.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the Kunkle Fire Department, and Officer Tony Kowalczyk (of the Harveys Lake Police Dept.) for their service to the MacMillan family and the community.

The Funeral service for Edward will be held on Sunday, April 7, 7:00 PM at Nulton Kopcza Funeral Home, 5749 SR 309 Monroe Twp.

Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 5PM until the time of service at the Nulton Kopcza Funeral Home.
