Edward Patrick Marshall, age 80, of London, Kentucky passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025.
He leaves behind three children, Anna Francis Orr of London, KY, Mary Beth Gilbert of London, KY, Wendy Kay Ledford & husband David of Crab Orchard, KY; three siblings, Michael Marshall & wife Donna of Ohio, John Marshall of Ohio, Rose Montgomery of Bellevue, KY; eleven grandchildren, Dustin Robinson & wife Addy, Holly Root & husband Jason, Daniel Orr, Emily Rojas & husband Jeff, Chelsea Gilbert, Shae Gilbert, Bethany Gilbert, Gavin Skipper, Brody Skipper, Dani Ledford, Landon Ledford; five great grandchildren, Heidi Root, Winnie Brown, Elias McIntosh, Cade Sizemore, Carmen Rojas; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jacqueline Marshall; his parents, William John & Anna Francis Binder Marshall; and by three siblings, Bill Marshall, Joyce Sermersheim, Frank Marshall.
Edward was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who was known for his strong work ethic and kind heart. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and quiet strength.
Edward retired after a long and dedicated career as a meat cutter for Kroger, where he was respected for his craftsmanship and friendliness. Outside of work, he found joy in the great outdoors-simply soaking in nature's beauty. An avid University of Kentucky fan, Edward never missed a game and cheered on the Wildcats with unmatched loyalty. But more than anything, his heart belonged to his family. He was a constant presence, a guiding hand, and a source of unconditional love to those closest to him.
Edward lived with quiet dignity, deep loyalty, and boundless love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A funeral service honoring Edward Patrick Marshall will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House Rawlings Funeral Home. Interment will follow at A. R. Dyche Memorial Park in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Sunday beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be David Ledford, Gavin Skipper, Brody Skipper, Dustin Robinson, Daniel Orr and Layton Champlain. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
