Madawaska--- Edward A McHenry, Sr., 85, son of John and Amanda (Turgeon) McHenry, passed away Oct 1, 2025. He was born July 22, 1940 in Madawaska, ME.

Edward worked at the local paper mill for 40 years, retiring in 2002. He also proudly served as a State Representative for 18 years, for which he was recognized for his long-standing commitment to the legislature in early 2025. In his youth he developed an interest in electronics which evolved into computers, spreadsheets and the latest gadgets, making him a rather tech savvy pepere.

He is survived by his wife, Joan McHenry; a son, Ted McHenry and his partner Jennifer of Limington; two stepdaughters, Debra and her husband John Clavette of Madawaska and Cheryl and her husband Jon Corbin of Kentucky; two brothers Arnold McHenry and his wife Huguette of Madawaska and Pat McHenry of Michigan; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Edward was predeceased by a stepson, John Dixon, and several brothers and sisters: Gerald (Jerry), George, John Jr (Buck), Shirley, Frank, and Helen.
